Rev.
Gerald E. Beirne
Fr.
Gerald Beirne is the son of the late Patrick and the late
Mabel (Money) Beirne. He has two brothers, Lawrence and Fr.
Robert Beirne.
Born and brought up in Pawtucket, he was a
parishioner of St. Leo's Parish and graduated from Our Lady of
Providence High School Seminary in 1954. Fr. Beirne attended
St. Bernard's Seminary in Rochester, New York and was ordained
a priest on June 9, 1962.
He served as assistant pastor at St. Mary
Parish in Carolina, the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul and
St. Mark Parish in Cranston. Fr. Beirne lived in residence at
St. Augustine Parish in Providence while serving as Chaplain
of RI Hospital and Roger William Hospital and was Pastor of
St. Rita Parish in Warwick before becoming Pastor of our
parish in January of 1991.

Rev. Robert L. Bailey
Fr.
Bob Bailey is the son of Robert and the late Esther (Cerilli)
Bailey. He has a sister, Kathi Dunphy, a brother-in-law Mark
and 2 nieces, Michele and Julie.
Born and brought up in Cranston, he was a
parishioner of St. Ann Parish and graduated from Our Lady of
Providence Preparatory Seminary in Providence in 1979.
Fr. Bob attended Mount St. Mary Seminary in
Emmitsburg, Maryland and was ordained a priest on June 12,
1993. He served as an assistant pastor at St. Mark Parish in
Cranston, St. Brendan Parish in Riverside, and St. Elizabeth
Parish in Bristol before being assigned to St. Philip's on
August 1, 2001.
On October 1, 2002, Fr. Bailey was named
Chaplain of the Smithfield Fire Department.

Rev. Michael A. Colello
Fr.
Michael Colello is the son of Vincent and Paula (McMahon)
Colello and has a brother, Daniel and two sisters, Kristin and
Karin.
Fr. Colello was brought up in North Kingstown where he
attended Hamilton Elementary and Wickford Middle School. His
family moved to South Kingstown and graduated from South
Kingstown High School. Fr. Colello resided at Our Lady of
Providence Seminary while attending Providence College where
he received a Bacholor of Arts degree in history and
philosophy.
Fr. Colello was assigned to the Pontifical North American
College in Rome and received his degree in Sacred Theology
from the Gregorian Univeristy in Rome. Fr. Colello was
ordained to the Priesthood on June 23, 2001. He was assigned
by Bishop Robert E. Mulvee to Our Lady of Mercy parish in East
Greenwich until Bishop Mulvee assigned him to St. Philip
parish beginning July 1, 2004.
He is interested in food and wine and loves to cook,
especially Italian pasta sauces. He is a runner and loves to
play tennis. He is learning how to play golf and understands
that it might be a smart idea to become a Red Sox fan!
