- At what time is the LIFE TEEN Mass celebrated?
Since March 10, 2002, the Sunday evening Mass at St.
Philip's has been changed from 7:00pm to 6:00pm. That
Mass is now called the Life Teen Mass.
- Will there ever be a break to LIFE TEEN?
The Life Teen Mass will be every Sunday of the year,
without a break. However, there will be some Sundays
when there will not be a Life Night. Check the bulletin.
- Is anyone welcome to the LIFE TEEN Mass?
Anyone is welcome to come to the Mass. However, the high
school teens will be invited to sit in the front rows of
the church. Also, the priest will address the homily to
the teens and their issues. Sometimes this might involve
speaking about difficult subject. Parents should know
that, at times, the priest might preach about issues
that little children have not yet been exposed to. They
should use discernment in bringing little children.
- Will the LIFE TEEN Mass be longer than other
Masses?
The Life Teen Mass will probably be longer. One of
the reasons is that before every Mass, the music
ministry will rehearse the music that will be sung with
the congregation. The reason for this is that we want
everyone at Mass to fully participate.
- Will everyone enjoy the LIFE TEEN Mass?
Probably not. Some people might not enjoy the music that
will be used, but rest assured this music will be
prayerful and full of worship even if upbeat at times.
We do not ask that every person enjoy the Life Teen
Mass, but we do ask for your support so that we might
lead our teens closer to Christ.
- Is the Mass the only part of LIFE TEEN?
No. After Mass, the teens are invited to the parish
center "Life House" for a "Life
Night", a time when we will make our faith come to
life. Teens will be ready to be picked up between
9:15-9:30pm.
